World Press freedom Day 2023:- Network Advocate For The Protection, Safety Of journalists

By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna A head of World International Press Freedom Day on 3rd May this year, the  Network of Peace Journalists on the Community Initiatives to Promote Peace (CIPP), a program with coordination from Interfaith Mediation Centre (IMC), and Conflict Mitigation and Management Regional Council (CMMRC) have  kicked in totality against all forms of intimidation, molestation, torture, or imprisonment of journalists round the world . Magazu United Wins NFF President's Challenge Cup

By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna Magazu United Football Club Tsafe local government Zamfara State have emerged winner at the just concluded Challenge Cup in honour of Alhaji Ibrahim Musa kigon Gusau, the President Nigerian Football Federation. (NFF). The tournament was organised and sponsored by a football philanthropist,  Aminu Overlapper in honour of the victory of Ibrahim Gusau as new NFF President, in Tsafe local government Zamfara state, and at the final match  Yankuzo Academy lost by two goals to one, which gave Magazu United victory to win the Cup. Zamfara Governor Elect Constitutes 60 Member Transition Committee

The office of the Governor-elect, in a statement signed by Sulaiman Bala Idris on Wednesday, disclosed that the committee is charged with the responsibility of liaising with the outgoing Administration of Governor Bello Matawalle ahead of the May 29th swearing-in of the new government in the state. Former Inspector General of Police, MD Abubakar CFR, will Chair the Committee, while Dr. Hamza Mohammed will serve as Secretary. By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Sulaiman Abubakar Gummi of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate for Gummi/ Bukuyum Federal Constituency in Zamfara as the winner of Saturday's supplementary election conducted in the constituency. Announcing the result, the INEC Collation Officer for the supplementary elections, Dr. Lawal Sa’ad said Sulaiman Gummi polled 35,664 votes to beat his closest opponent of the All Progressives APC Ahmad Muhammad, who scored 35,058 votes. He said that, Gummi, having scored the highest number of votes and satisfied the requirements of the law, emerged as the winner of the election. Recall that,  last election was declared inconclusive between Sulaiman Abubakar Gummi and Ahmed Mohammed due to the cancellation of election results from over voting and violence at some polling units. KADSVA Rolls Out Kaduna State Beach Volleyball Sallah Slam

A statement signed by the member representing media on the board, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson  said that this was made known by KADSVA Secretary, Florence Yori in a memo to the board members of the association on Tuesday April 11, 2023. According to the memo, the three day event would be held at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello Stadium. " This is to inform and invite you to Kaduna State Beach Volleyball Sallah Slam slated for 21st-23rd April 2023 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna for both Senior and Junior," the memo informed. By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau The Zamfara state Chairman of National Union Of Roads Transports Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Hamisu Habibu Kasuwar Daji, has today withrew his resignation letter he issued to the managemnet of the union on 29th of March this year. This was contained in a letter he tendered to the Union's management, informing them that he has withrawn the earlier letter of resignation, and he would continued as a Chairman till his tenure elapse. The withrawal of his resignation letter was as a result of the advice given to him by some critical stakeholders of NURTW, and his union loyalists.
