Magazu United Wins NFF President's Challenge Cup

Magazu United Football Club Tsafe local government Zamfara State have emerged winner at the just concluded Challenge Cup in honour of Alhaji Ibrahim Musa kigon Gusau, the President Nigerian Football Federation. (NFF).
The tournament was organised and sponsored by a football philanthropist, Aminu Overlapper in honour of the victory of Ibrahim Gusau as new NFF President, in Tsafe local government Zamfara state, and at the final match Yankuzo Academy lost by two goals to one, which gave Magazu United victory to win the Cup.
The final match was played recently at Tsafe new township stadium, which attracted many fans and supporters of the two clubs in attendance.
In his addressed while presenting Cup to the winners, the National President Nigerian Football Federation Alh Ibrahim Musa (kigon Gusau) promised to be good ambassador to the People of Zamfara, by making sure that his administration will bestored equity, justice and transparency, for the development of soccer in Nigeria.
He also reiterated his commitment to support the indigenous talents those that have the qualities to play in National and International Tournament.
"I commend the organisers, players and the humble supporters who gathered here to witness this importance occasion." He said.
Also speaking during the occasion the Kwara State Football Association Chairman who accompanied the NFF President, stressed that, "this is part of their activities of assisting and bringing out the talents in the grassroots for their promotion and advancement.
He however called on the players to be discipline and obedients to their coaches and referees, also excited with the talents players that proved themselves during the competition, assured them their support by inviting the agents to come and pick some players.
In an interview with newsmen at the occasion, one of the zamfara state peoples Democratic Party stake holder and the member transition committee, Alhaji Aliyu Barmo, assured that their incoming government in the would liaise with the local government authorities and the state football association to organised such kind of tournament that would affect the lives of our youth positively.
"The creation of such tournament will tremendously promote unity and discourage insecurity by making our youth committed which would discourage them to engage in an immoral acts".
Addressing the newsmen, the chief organiser of the tournament explained that, "I sponsored the competition to honour our soil son Ibrahim Musa Gusau who recently secured the position of NFF president.
According to him, this will also assist in bring out the young talents players show up that would attract agents for the national and international football challenge."
He however thanked the NFF president who committed himself to witness and participated the completion of this challenge cup.
