KASTLEA Auctions 132 Motor Cycles Seized For Violation Of Law During Covid 19 Pandemic

The Kaduna State Traffic Enviromental  Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA) have auctioned  one hundred and thirty two motor cycles seized during the covid 19 pandemic era in the state.

  Speaking during the auction commissioning, at the agency headquarters in Kaduna, the Chairman Auction Committee also the national chairman auctionals association Kaduna state chapter, Alhaji Hamza Musa said, the state government had approved the auctioning of the motor cycles due to the failure of some owners to present themselves.

He added that, over seventy percent rightful owners have claimed and collected their machines, without any hitches.

 The chairman however called on any body that sees his motor cycle and has a valid documents should bring to the committee for verifivation, we would auction to him in an affordable price.

 While addressing the press in her office, the Corps Marshal/CEO KASTLEA, Mrs Carla Abdul malik, explained that failure by owners to claim their properties for over six months, the agency had liaised with the state public procurement agency (KPPA) for guidance.

 "We also secured a court order for forfeiting the motor cycles as well as gotten the approval from the  state governor before taken action for auctioned." She added.

 In an interview with one of the beneficiary, Mrs Sunita Umar, who bought one motor cycle at the cost of  fourty thousand naira, expressed her happiness for the purchase.

She however called on the buyers that did have the opportune to buy the auctioned motorcycles to exercise patients and wait for their time.

Aother beneficiary, Shehu Abdulkadir Rigasa, who bought one motor cycle at the cost of fourty two thousand naira, was not happy over the auctioneers habits.

 He also accused the auction committee of sabotaging the process in the sense that, the motor cycles introduced for auctione are not up to the  standard, as according to him, the committee did not brought the most fitted machines before the the buyers.
