Police In Kaduna Arrest 350 Hoodlums With 75 Bags Of Indian Hemp

The Kaduna state police command has announced the arrest of over three hundred and fifty hoodlums suspected to be phones snatchers that are terrorising Kaduna city and it's environs.

Parading the suspects during the press briefing, representative of the Acting Commissioner of Police, DCP Mamman B. Giwa, and the Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalinge,  noted that, "Following the public out cry on the  activities of these notorious criminals known as  (Sara Suka) operating within the city centre.

According them, the command has launched a serious Manhunt on the criminals hibernating, and organised a constant raids on the hideout of these hoodlums in some identified black sports within Kaduna metropolis and it's environs.

With a view to have a crime-free society where law abiding citizens would be allowed to go about their business with out fear of been molested or intimidated from any quota."

Jalinge however outlined the materials recovered from the suspects which includes, Illicit drugs of 57 bags dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp equivalent to 1710kg. Others are snatched GSM phones, master keys, vehicles and motor cycles of different brand, scissors, cudgel's and sharps knives among others.

Some of the suspects have been charged to court while others are under going investigation upon completion.

Mohammed Jalinge also reiterated the commands commitment towards ensuring the security and safety of good people of Kaduna state, as rigorous patrols, raids of criminals hideout and black sports will be carried out unabatedly.

 He however urged residents in the state to report any incidences to the nearest police stations, also cautioned them to avoid taking law into their hands.

While the command parading the suspects also welcomed the new commissioner of police, Musa Yusuf Garba, who assured people of Kaduna state that as soon as possible they are going to see a drastic security change.


He  strongly warned that criminals will not continue to have hiding place in Kaduna, also advised to either repent or leave the state completely and appealed the support of the people of Kaduna state in order to eradicate bad people in the society.
