Zamfara Anti-Thuggery Agency Commandant Escapes Assassination

The Commandant Zamfara State Anti Thuggery Agency, Bello Soja Bakyasuwa has escaped being assassinated by suspected hired  killers on his way to Kaduna from Gusau.

The Commandant narrated what really transpired in a press statement and made available to newsmen in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital.

" I am currently on hospital bed, my life is in danger, I am facing incessant attacks by suspected sponsored gunmen.

"I narrowly escaped death, last Four days on my way to Kaduna along Funtua-Zaria.

"You know, that day I left Gusau to Kaduna in My Hilux Car.

I"noticed that two Hilux and BMW vehicles were behind me, he added.

According to the Commandant, he stoped  at Yankara Security Check point, the two vehicles passed him, after that he continue with his journey.

He narrarated that, "I continue with my journey. After I passed Funtua around 8:30 pm there is one community called Gangara along Funtua-Zaria road.

"I noticed that the Hilux and BMW vehicles were chasing me and eventually the BMW vehicle double crossed and forcefully stopped me on the road.

"The people inside the two vehicles just started shooting on my vehicle, we spent few minutes exchanging fire with them.

"I jump out of my Hilux after which I sustained dislocation on my leg and injuries on my face.

But the those in the Hilux continue shooting, I was able to escape and run in side bush with bleeding in my body.

After like 15 minutes, the police Hilux arrived the place they quickly rescue me and took me to a one Primary Health Care of one nearby village.

After receiving treatment in the clinic I slept in the village, in the morning my driver who met me in the village took me to Kaduna for further treatment.

As a result of that my Hilux vehicle was seriously damaged.

Currently, I am receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

I believe that my attackers are sponsored by politicians.

I recalled that, few months ago gunmen also attacked my driver here in Gusau on his way from Command Guest-Inn to Anguwar Gwaza they go with my office Hilux vehicle.

I am calling on security agencies to come to my aid, as my life is in danger.

I am appealing to them to investigate and arrest the perpetrators of my attacks.

Tsafe Development Forum Appeals For An Urgent Support To The Victims Of Bandits Attacks In Chediya Ward

  By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna  The Tsafe Local Government Development Forum has called on the philanthropists in Tsafe, Zamfara and Nigeria at large to urgently assist the victims of bandits attacks in Chediya Ward of  Tsafe local government in Zamfara state.  The victims who are now taking shelter in various Internal Displace Persons (IDPs) camps within Tsafe and its environs, were in need of foodstuffs, shelter and medication.
