Alledged Looting Of Government Properties:-Zamfara APC Reacts, Says Administration Starts With Lies

The Zamfara state chapter of All Progrssive Congress (APC) has  responded to certain frivolous allegations raised recently by the new Zamfara state governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal against his predecessor and APC leader in Zamfara, Hon. Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle over the disappearance by theft of some electronics, including television, refrigerators and air conditioners which he mentioned in an interview were carted away by Governor Matawalle.

This was contained in a ststement signed by the Party Publicity Secretary Alhaji Yusuf Idris Gusau, and made available to newsmen, saying the allegation is fabricated with the aim of tarnishing the good Image of former governor and their party APC.

The statement reads "It is for the records and to the knowledge of Zamfara people that since after results were declared that the new governor has won, APC members exited the government house which was recently redesigned and beautified to the best standards comparable to presidential villa.

"It is funny however that while the governor was shamelessly making the allegations, the pictures of his formal entrance into the government house had already been released and gone viral showing the governor near all the alleged missing items.

"One can see the governor while swearing in his SSG and Chief of Staff sitting with the supposed stolen television by his side. Another television is seen beside him when he was entering the governor's office.

"Similarly, a picture he snapped after a meeting with the state Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries showed two television sets by their sides.

"Another picture showed the governor on his official chair discussing with the new SSG with the laptop, also allegedly stolen on his side table.

"At a meeting with Emirs, both air conditioners and another television can be seen in the chamber.

"We don't expect a leader to be misleading the people because such are indications of an unserious person trying to hide behind mischief to defend his inadequacies.

"What Zamfara people now expect from the PDP government and its governor is the beginning of the fulfilment of campaign promises they made starting with the issue of addressing insecurity, unemployment, skills acquisition, women and youth empowerment as against dirty politics when elections are over.

"His campaign slogan was to  rescue the state, unfortunately, he is not concerned about the people that lost their lives  since his assumption of office but is busy childishly talking about TV and Air Conditioners which were provided by Governor Matawalle and left in the office, so if there is any missing item he should be responsible for them.

"A lot of APC properties were destroyed during the last governorship declaration, and no sympathy or concern from his end or his media aides till date" The statement concluded.
