Zamfara NUJ Felicitates With Dauda Dare, Promises Him For Cordial Relationship

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zamfara State Council, has today felicitated  with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare on his swearing-in as Governor, on 29th May, 2023.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the council Chairman Ibrahim Musa Maizare, and his secretary Ibrahim Ahmed Gada, and made available to newsmen in Gusau.

According to the statement, the NUJ Zamfara Council is  optimistic that Dr. Lawal Dare will work tirelessly toward restoring lasting peace and harmony in the state, alongside other dividend of democracy. 

As partners in progress, the Union is ever ready to collaborate with the present administration in bringing developmental projects to the good people of the state. Therefore, rest assured of the Union's full support to champion the state affairs.

Your people-oriented leadership will be covered professionally by our esteemed professional journalists who are determined to give all the necessary support and cooperation, especially on the information dissemination and strategic media support to ensure your policies and programmes excel.

Your Excellency, we are optimistic that your administration's foresight in considering the role of media and indeed journalists, to this end,  we are hopeful that you will do everything within your power to rehabilitate/upgrade the state-owned media outfits, such as Zamfara Radio, Television, and Legacy Newspapers.

The statement added that, by upgrading these mediums, it will complement your effort in moving the state forward. The Union also advises the government to support other media houses and working journalists in the state to discharge their mandates.
