Nigerian Pastor Honored with 3 Prestigious Doctorates by International Universities

In a remarkable testament to his commitment to peace and interreligious understanding, Pastor Yohanna Buru, the General Overseer of the Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry in Kaduna, Nigeria, has been honored with three prestigious honorary doctorate degrees by renowned international universities.


These distinguished accolades were granted to him by esteemed European institutions in recognition of his tireless efforts to promote interfaith tolerance and forgiveness among adherents of various faith-based organizations in Nigeria.


Reflecting on this unexpected recognition, Pastor Buru humbly remarked, "I never dreamt of receiving such esteemed doctorate degrees from any university. However, by the grace of Almighty God, I have been bestowed with three doctorate degrees in just one year."


In addition to these remarkable accolades, Pastor Buru was also recognized as the overall winner of the United Nations World Interfaith Week and Harmony in 2022, cementing his status as a global advocate for peace and interfaith cooperation.


His contributions to peace-building and conflict prevention have earned him over 100 awards, not only in Nigeria but also across various regions of West Africa.


With heartfelt appreciation, Pastor Buru extended his gratitude to the governing boards of the institutions that found him deserving of these prestigious awards. The universities that conferred these honorary doctorates include:


European Institute of Applied Research, Estonia

Northwest International University, Republic of Armenia

Christian Ministerial Training University, Zambia

Glory International University, Burkina Faso

Cholan Book of World Records, India

Furthermore, Pastor Buru shared that two more African universities are set to honor him before the year concludes.

Tsafe Development Forum Appeals For An Urgent Support To The Victims Of Bandits Attacks In Chediya Ward

  By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna  The Tsafe Local Government Development Forum has called on the philanthropists in Tsafe, Zamfara and Nigeria at large to urgently assist the victims of bandits attacks in Chediya Ward of  Tsafe local government in Zamfara state.  The victims who are now taking shelter in various Internal Displace Persons (IDPs) camps within Tsafe and its environs, were in need of foodstuffs, shelter and medication.
