Speaking shortly after the program, the commissioner ministry of education, science and technology, Malan Wadatau Madawaki, said as far as their ministry is concern, they are ready to send their students to participate in this type of prayer session when ever the need arise.
The commissioner who spoke through his permanent secretary of the ministry, Dr. Barira Ibrahim Bagobiri added that, the abduction of students in their respective institution compelled them to allow their students to participate in the session.
He however called on all security personnel to redouble their efforts in curtailing the menace in Zamfara state and the country in general.
Also speaking, the Chairman organising committee of the special prayers session professor Nasiru Anka, said they decided to organise special prayers in Gusau Eid praying ground, considering the multitude number of Muslim Ummah that would attend the session.
He said, Zamfara state has security challenges, and the only way to curtail the menace is to go back to the creature of man kind, and seek his intervention, as according to him everything comes from God and every believer must know that.
"Since we are all aware that only God can overcome our problems, that is why we gathered children in their thousands to pray for restoration of peace in our state, northern Nigeria and Nigeria as a whole.
"Respected Ulamas within and outside the state have gathered here to pray for Allah's intervention, because day and night attacks on our communities and our schools by bandits would never allow us to boost the education of our children.
"I want to use this medium to thank the present administration under governor Dauda Lawal, for showing concern on how best they can do to make Zamfara communities sleep with their eyes closed.
"Finally, I will like to inform the gathering that, this type of prayer session will be conducted from time to time, till we witness the end of this banditry activities in our dear state, prof concluded.
