The Wife of Zamfara state governor, Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal, has today paid a Sympathy visit to the management and students of Federal University Gusau (FUG), over abduction of female students last month.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau by Hajiya Zara'u Musa, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication office of Zamfara state  First Lady.

Speaking during the visit, the first lady said, it became mandatory for her to come to the institution to show her  optimum concern over the incident, adding that the negative trend is alarming.

"I am touched and stand with full of dismay to sympathize with the Management, Staff, Parents, and the entire students of Federal University Gusau, over this heinous and inhuman act of bandits who kidnapped students of this institution some weeks ago.

" I would like to sincerely apologise to you all my daughters of this great institution for not coming in early due to unforeseen circumstances.

"The present administration  under my husband is not resting on its oars, it is restructuring its security architecture to flush out bandits in the state.

"However, Combined securities are on top of the situation to rescue the remaining students unhurt.

"I am calling on you students to always be watchful and report any suspicious movements.

"At this juncture, I would like to advise the management to expand its security outfit.

We pray this will never happen again in sha Allah". First Lady concluded.
