Zamfara lawmaker awards scholarship to over 300 FUG students

Member representing Maru/Bungudu federal constuency Abdul Malik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has today doled out registration fees to indigens of Maru and Bungudu local government areas, who are studying at Federal University Gusau (FUG).
This is part of his efforts to ensure that students of his constituency enjoy devidents of Democracy.
Addressing the the beneficiaries, the chairman Zannan Bungudu scholarship committee, Muhammad Adamu Bungudu said, this is not the first time the lawmaker is giving this kind of gesture to the students of his constituency.
He said, Zannan Bungudu sponsored over eighty students of college of education Maru, and also twenty students to study health sector at Aslam school of health sciences Bungudu.
According to him, all these students were sponsored from the purchase of forms to the end of their studies, calling on them to reciprocate the gesture by using the chances given to them.
Bungudu make it clear that, the gesture had gone beyond Maru and Bungudu, because there are so many students from other local government areas whom they showed their interest and they were given the scholarship.
"As I am talking to you, there are our students outside the state studying and the gesture reached them, and Zannan Bungudu is ever ready to assist any student if at all he reaches our committee desired condition.
The eleven man committee, comprises people of a reputable character, and fear of Allah in the discharge of their responsibilities.
In an interview with the beneficiaries, who gathered at Zannan Bungudu federal constuency Office in Bungudu local government area expressed their happiness over the gesture, and promised to go to University on Monday to pay their registration.
They said, most of them have no means to pay, therefore they must withdraw from the University, but now Zannan Bungudu puts smiles on their faces, by paying their registration fees and prayed for him to achieve all his desired goals.
