ICAN Holds Technical Session On Tax, Naira Exchange Rates In Kaduna

  As part of its 2023 Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN Week and Annual Dinner programmes, the Kaduna state Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, organised a technical session with the theme; "Retooling the Nigerian Economy for Prosperity.


 The technical session had presented two paper topics; "flooting the Naira exchange rates:Issues Arising, By professor Uche Uwaleke. and the Nigerian Tax to GDP Ration's: Addressing the Challenges,by Professor Godwin O,and Professor Abun Adah. which recently held at Command Guest House Kaduna.


  Speaking with newsmen at the event, the former ICAN president, Alhaji Tijjani Isah Musa, (Dan Masanin Hadeja), said Nigeria we only practices a mono economy system because the country only produces crude oil in a market to add the Dollar as exchange rates.


 He urged the federal government to address the issue  of production, from inputs especially on solid minerals which enables the nation to produce then market  the products, distribute products, and consumers, to over come systematics; inflation, employment and interest rates.


 In an interview  with media men, the former accountant general, also a fellow ICAN  member,  Alhaji Umar Waziri, commended the present leadership Kaduna ICAN Chairman Abdulrazak A Yusuf, for being very consistent in organising the technical session, and the way supporting fellows members.


 He however called on the fellows ICAN members for being  united and committed to the profession towards achieving the desire objective of the union.



 The district Chairman Kaduna state institute of chartered accountant of Nigeria, Abdulrazak A Yusuf Phd. Thanked the fellow ICAN members for attending the annual week gathering started  early this week.


 Also urged the members to rededicated themselves in participating to the other programmes coming for the remaining days.
