KASTLEA, NURTW, NARTO Vow To End Gridlock In Kaduna

The Kaduna state Commissioner, Ministry of public works and infrastructure, Honourable Ibrahim Hamza, has urged the relevant stakeholders to figure out the applicable ways in tackling the rampants vehicles gridlocks on some high ways in the state.
The commissioner who is represented by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Abdu Na Abdu Ashiru, during a stakeholders engagement meeting organised by the Kaduna state traffic law enforcement authority (KASTLEA) recently in Kaduna.
According to the state Commissioner, is an appeal to all the relevants stakeholders to have a collective responsibility to figure out the practical and applicable ways of tackling these disturbing trends, which in most cases lead to serious public embarrassment.
"Long hours of vehiculars gridlocks causes hardships to road users and the general public, KASTLEA is calling on all stakeholders, motorists in the state and those passing from out side state to drive with care and good conscience, to ensure the safety rules and regulations observe."
He however noted that, accidents can be prevented or been reduced relatively to the barest minimum by simply adhering to traffic safety rules and regulations.
In her address the Corps Marshall, Kaduna state traffic law enforcement authority, Carla Abdulmalik, disregard the claimed and allegations for over charging the traffic offenders by their officer's.
She however, expressed concern over the trend incessant blockages of roads by heavy vehicles within and outside Kaduna metropolitan over a mundane and trivial issues.
She further revealed that, all their officers most wear a uniform while on duty, any person sees claiming as KASTLEA official working with out uniform people should report to him to our Office
While interview with news men during the events, the Deputy Chairman National Union of Roads Transport Workers(NURTW) Kaduna state, Alhaji Lawali Abubakar, advised the traffic authority to amend the policy of removing the Butteries from the vehicles.
He also urged the KASTLEA'S officials and the state zonal Marshals to respect the leadership of relevants stakeholders by engaging them when any issue arises for smooth resolution to the issue.
Also speaking with newsmen, the Kaduna state coordinator National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), Alhaji Salisu Mustafa Basawa, appealed to the government to repair damages federal and state highways across the state to reduced carnage.
He commended the traffic authority for organising the interaction forum that led to create the synergy between stakeholders, and involved others relevants stakeholders on their operations.
