Zamfara Lawmakers Order Budget Commissioner To Walk Out Of Assembly Complex

In what appears to be a discipline measure by the Zamfara State House Of Assembly Members against the state budget commissioner Alhaji Abdulmalik Gajam, the members have today dispelled him out of the complex shortly before the presentation of 2024 budget by Governor Dauda Lawal.
The lawmakers said the decision follows the refusal of the commissioner to honour their previous invitations given to him three times consecutively.
Member representing Gummi, Bashir Aliyu raised a motion prior to commencement of the presentation draw the attention of the house on the misconduct of the commissioner Abdulmalik Gajam.
He said the house was established and guided by laws that shoulder power on them to invite any person to interview him especially those holding positions in government, but the commissioner refused to owner their invitation for three times and decline any explanation to the Chamber.
Contributing on the motion a Member representing Maradun One, Faruk Dosara called on house to withdraw it's confirmation on the said person as this was gross disobedience to the entire state.
Dosara further explained that, with out public apology by the Commissioner the house should not entertain anything from his ministry.
Beside being sent out of the Assembly complex, the house threatened to withdraw the approval which confirmed him as Commissioner.
In his ruling, the Speaker of the House, Bilyaminu Ismaila Moriki has directed the Segment at Arm to eject the commissioner out of the Chamber.
