Insecurity:- Zamfara Ready To Inaugurate Community Protection Guards (CPG)

All necessary arrangements have been put in place by Zamfara state government to ensure the success of the inauguration of Zamfara Community Protection Guard,(CPG), schedule to hold on Wednesday. 

This was disclosed during a press briefing on the Inauguration of Community Protection Guards (CPG) in Zamfara State Held today by Honourable Mannir Muazu Haidara Kauran Namoda, Commissioner for Information and Culture Zamfara state at the NUJ Press Centre, Gusau Zamfara State

He said, the   importance of the CPG cannot be overstated, as it serves as a crucial component in our ongoing efforts to restore peace and combat the scourge of banditry in Zamfara.

According to the commissioner, the  significance of the CPG lies in its grassroots approach to security, empowering local communities to take ownership of their safety and security,  by mobilizing the  collective efforts of our people, adding that they are confident in their ability to effectively address the challenges posed by banditry.

"We humbly request the support of all media outfits in providing the widest possible publicity for this event. Your cooperation in spreading awareness about the inauguration will greatly contribute to its success and further amplify the message of peace and security across our state.

"We appeal to the people of Zamfara to extend their support and hospitality to the distinguished guests who will be gracing this occasion. Together, let us demonstrate our unity and resolve in the face of adversity.

"I urge everyone to remain law-abiding before, during, and after the inauguration. We trust in the professionalism of our security agencies to maintain law and order, and we call upon them to discharge their duties with diligence and integrity.

"I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, for his visionary leadership in initiating the Community Protection Guards. His commitment to the safety and well- being of our people is truly commendable.

"We also commend the resilience and sacrifice of the brave individuals who have volunteered to serve in the CPG and join the fight against banditry in Zamfara. Their dedication to the cause is an inspiration to us all.

"let us offer a prayer for the success of this event and for the continued peace and prosperity of Zamfara State. Together, with determination and unity, we shall overcome." He concluded.

Zamfara Health Commissioner Resolves NMA Leadership Tussle, As She Receives Elders Commendation

Tsafe Development Forum Appeals For An Urgent Support To The Victims Of Bandits Attacks In Chediya Ward

  By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna  The Tsafe Local Government Development Forum has called on the philanthropists in Tsafe, Zamfara and Nigeria at large to urgently assist the victims of bandits attacks in Chediya Ward of  Tsafe local government in Zamfara state.  The victims who are now taking shelter in various Internal Displace Persons (IDPs) camps within Tsafe and its environs, were in need of foodstuffs, shelter and medication.
