Former Commandant Zamfara State Anti Thuggery Opposes Appointment Of Yandoto As Zamfara CPG Commandant

The immediate past Commandant of Zamfara Anti-Thuggery Agency, Bello Soja Bakyasuwa has kicked against  the recent appointment of Col. Rabiu Yandoto Rtd, as state commandant of Community Protection Guards by the Zamfara state governor Dauda Lawal.

Bakyasuwa stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Gusau, describing the appointment of rtd colonel Yandoto as not suitable., as according to him, the said appointee is not qualified to be even a member of the Community Protection Guards (CPG), considering his previous  record of irregularities in service 

He further said that Yandoto is not professionally qualified to hold such position.

"The fight against insecurity required people with proven integrity,  transparency and accountability.

Bakyasuwa called on Governor Dauda Lawal to review Yandoto's appointment and appoint some body with good track records, credibility and integrity to manage the CPG.

"I am also calling on Governor Dauda  to avoid making a similar mistakes by the previous administrations in the state where incompetent persons were appointed in managing the security sector of the state .
