KDSG PLANS TO RECRUITS 10,000 TEACHERS

The Kaduna state Commissioner For Education, Professor Sani Bello (Mainan Zazzau), has expressed the state government planned to recruit ten thousands teachers gradually, through the state universal basic education (SUBEB).

 Professor Sani Bello stated this through the ministry's director planning, Alhaji Salisu Baba Lawal, during a stakeholders reflection meeting on finding and the lessons learned from study, "On the implementation of the teachers recruitment, deployment and retention policy in Kaduna state."

 The research collection which was conducted in November 2023, is founded by education research in conflict and crisis affected setting, led by the international rescue mission, also funded by Foreign Common Wealth and Development Office, which recently held at Asaa Pyramid Hotel in Kaduna.

 According to the commissioner, the Kaduna state government and the  Federal Government have taken measures for the provision of security personnel  within the schools that are in  the conflict and crisis area in the state.

 He however  noted that, "the state government in collaboration with United Nations UNICEF will train  teachers and students on the early warning sign of insecurity, it will help them to understand the measure taken if the signs of insecurity occurred.

 The permanent member in Kaduna state teachers service board, TSB, Alhaji Shehu Sani Usman, said, the objective of the gathering is to discuss a research carried out by Oxford organisation on recruitment, deployment and detention policy, which the state government has approved sphere TSB to be used during the recruitment exercises.

 "The TSB has since last year started recruitment of  7,600 teachers, and  have already sent to various secondary schools in the state, which we followed strictly the policy and it was successfully."

 The Kaduna state Chairman Nigerian Union of Teachers, Comrade Ibrahim Dalhatu, said "We are invited to give an input on how the policy being used by TSB and SUBEB weather it's effective or ineffective, an criticized where it the policy opt and make the recommendations.

 " We have seen the finding and the report, by Oxford policy management study research last year. and it's extremely important for development of child education in the state and the country at large.

   While addressing the newsmen shortly  after the event, the Senior Education Specialist Oxford policy management , Mrs Joy Oballum, described the reflections meeting as an avenue looking in supporting the educational system and the government to improve the processes that make easier for children to a conflict setting to learned better. 

 She further said  that, the research we are here today, is looking of how we can learned from the ongoing implementations of this teachers policy,  for betterness,. and the area which have been recommended for further action.

 "It's objective in looking at  how the policy has been implemented, what's the challenges  to review,  verify, and revise in an effective way."
