Zamfara APC Law maker Reconstructs, Equips Burnt Comprehensive Primary Health Care Mayanchi.

A member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zubairu (APC-Zamfara), has reconstructed and eqiped comprehensive Primary Health Care Mayanchi which was burnt last year as a result of fire inferno.

Shading more lights to the working Journalists on media tour, the Legislative Assistant to Mr Zubairu, Alhaji Jamilu Umar, disclosed this while conducting journalists round the facility in Mayanchi District of Maru local government.

He said, the hospital was burnt beyond recognition, but honourable Zannah awarded contract for the total reconstruction of the hospital.

Alhaji Jamilu added that, the lawmaker has provided 48  hospital beds, mattresses and other hospital equipment to the Comprehensive Primary Healthcare Centre in the Mayanchi community.

According to him,  the hospital was part of the nine health facilities renovated by the lawmaker in Maru and Bungudu council areas.

He said, beside the Mayanchi hospital, there are  two dispensaries in the Kwanar Rawayya and Runji communities as well as a PHC in the Rawayya community, which were renovated to high standard.

“Other renovated facilities are General Hospital, Dansadau, PHC Dankurmi,  and the PHCs in Bungudu and Bingi towns.’’he added

The legislative aide said that the lawmaker also built a community women and children hospital in Bungudu town, as part of his efforts to promote rural healthcare delivery.

Also speaking, some members of the benefiting community  commended the lawmaker for giving priority to rural healthcare delivery.

They  noted that before the lawmaker’s intervention, the hospital had burnt and  dilapidated and without any medical equipment. “We thank God and commend Hon Zubairu for his kind gesture. With this intervention, our labour room, laboratory and other departments and wards are now well-renovated and equipped.
