ZSUBEB CHAIRMAN AWARDS HEAD TEACHERS, JSS PRINCIPALS FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE

In his efforts to boost morale of teachers for more productivity, the Executive Chairman of Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board, ZSUBEB, Professor Nasir Garba Anka (Makama of Sokoto South), has presented awards to three Head Teachers of Primary Schools and Principals of Junior Secondary Schools in the state for their outstanding performances.
This was contained in a statement signed by the board's spokesman, Comrade Ibrahim Musa Maizare, and made available to newsmen in Gusau
According to the statement, while presenting the awards to the deserving teachers at the board's headquarters in Gusau, Professor Nasir Garba Anka, said the guesture wàs in recognition of the awardees' excellent performance assessed during his unscheduled working visit to their resective schools .
Makama of Sokoto South said, "I decided to reward them because I was impressed with what I saw, it gives me courage to support them . That is why today surprisingly I invited them to my office without informing them. No body new my intention about this award".
He further noted that as part of his resolve to giving confidence to his leadership and encouraging output of teachers, he is currently in the process of organizing an annual award program for Head Teachers and JSS principals/teachers across the 14 local government ares of the state as a motivation factor towards productivity.
The Head teachers awarded are Isah Musa from Army Children School Gusau, Aminu Jibril from Science Primary School Gusau, Binta Malam Dogo from Shattima Model Primary School and Zulaihat Muhammad of Government Day Secondary School, Gusau.
The awardees were presented with one fan, laptop and science kits, among others.
Prof, Anka called on teachers to pray for the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal to enable him fulfill his campaign promises.
Those who witnessed the award presentation ceremony along with the Executive Chairman include the board's Permanent Members, Madawaki Alhaji Dahiru Shehu, Alhaji Bala Aliyu Gusau, Rufa'i Jibril Muhammad, Acting Secretary, Aminu Musa Kanoma, Directors and other staffers of the board.
