ZSUBEB To Collaborate With NGOs In Promoting Basic Education In Zamfara

The  Executive Chairman of Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board, Professor Nasiru Garba Anka said, the board  will collaborate with Non Governmental Organizations in his efforts  towards promoting the state Basic Education sector.

Prof. Anka  made the disclosure today while  receiving  Civil Society Organizations for Safe school Technical Team in the state who paid him a courtesy visit  in his office, 

This was contained in a statement signed by the board's spokesman, Comrade Ibrahim Musa Maizare and made available to newsmen in Gusau.

According to the statement, The Executive Chairman,  said "education for all,  is the responsibility of all", noting that everyone has a vital role to play including   Civil Society Organizations for the sake òf young and future generation.

"Your visitation is timely because this administration under the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawali prioritizes education, apart from security which prompted the state government to declare a State òf  Emergency on Education in the state.

Prof Anka maintained that, " my board will continue to collaborate with you for the success of Basic Education in the state, and assured to give them all necessary support to enable them discharge their responsibilities effectively

Earlier in his address, the  Deputy Team Leader of the NGOs, Dr Amad Hashim Tsanu  represented by Hajiya Sa'adatu Abdul Gusau, said they were at the chairman's office for self introduction as  partners and stakeholders of education in the state and Nigeria in general.

Dr Hashim added that Civil Society Organizations  are partners in progress, stating that they are not against any progress of the  government , but rather, to find out issues with a view to addressing them by relevant agencies for necessary actions.

He explained  that he  made a thorough   investigation and assessment from  the last administration on issues regarding closure of schools as a result of insecurity and a report  has been  issued to  government for necessary action.

According to him, hopefully  the current administration in the state will take action to address the menance of insecurity for education to excel in the state.

Dr Hashim on behalf of all NGOs in the state, congratulated the Executive Chairman, Prof. Nasir Garba Anka for his appointment as the Executive Chairman of the board, describing him as  some  one that has a good reputation in Education,  and advised him to do everything humanly possible to move the  Basic Education in the state to the next level .

During the visit, the CSOs presented a report to the chairman of the board, Prof. Nasir Garba Anka.
