Zamfara Security Trust Fund set to Launch fund raising, Says MD Abubakar

The Zamfara State Security Trust Fund, ZSSTF has revealed that it has made adequate arrangements for the official launching of  fund raising to empower it financially. 

This was announced  by the Chairman of the Committee, former Inspector General Of Police, IGP, Muhammed Dahiru Abubakar, in a chat with newsmen, shortly after commissioning the Security Trust Fund Secretariat by Governor Dauda Lawal.

 According to MD Abubakar, they have  put in place formidable strategies to raise funds for the purchase of weapons, operational vehicles and other logistics for security agencies in the state to battle terrorists.

The chairman explained that if the Funds is raised, it is  the responsibility of the State Security Trust Fund is to settle all the medical expenses of the injured security operative as well as take care of their families' welfare, when ever the need arises.

"Further more, this will encourage our security personnel to pay more attention in their operations of securing lives and property of citizens", he added.

"Security matter is the responsibility of everybody and not the responsibility of the security agencies alone, therefore everyone should join forces to tackle banditry activities in our dear State"

"We should not leave the issue of security on the shoulders of the security operatives and Government alone"

 The former IGP however said that, they have already sent all necessary data to the state governor, for the funds raising ceremony.

"That was the main purpose of establishing the Security Trust Fund by the present administration being led by Dauda Lawal's administration"

He therefore called on Zamfara people, to be patriotic and donate generously for the zamfara state Security Trust Fund, as according to him, they are suppose to show example before any outsider donates his money
