Defence Correspondents Embark On Media Tour To 8 Div, Operation Hadarin Daji

The Defence Correspondents led by the Deputy Director Coordination Media Operation Brig Gen Mohammed Dahiru Abumawashi today paid a visit to Headquarters 8 Division.

 The team of Correspondents was briefed by the General Officer Commanding 8 Division and Commander Joint Taskforce (North West) Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) Maj Gen Godwin Mutkut on the general area of operational responsibility of 8 Division and OPHD, numerous operational activities within the Division, inter-agency co-operation, Civil Military Cooperation activities, troops welfare, achievements and challenges. 

After the GOC's brief, the Correspondents proceeded to Headquarters 8 Division Garrison where they were received by the Commander Brig Gen Alex Tawasimi who accompanied them for  to the hinterland Forward Operating Bases within Sector 3 Sokoto where they interacted with some rescued kidnapped victims and other local communities.

The team will  proceed to Gusau Zamfara State where the Headquarters of Operation HADARIN DAJI is located. There they will subsequently visit the hinterlands to have interactions with the locals to appraise  the impact of their feelings towards the military operations in their areas.

Tsafe Development Forum Appeals For An Urgent Support To The Victims Of Bandits Attacks In Chediya Ward

  By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna  The Tsafe Local Government Development Forum has called on the philanthropists in Tsafe, Zamfara and Nigeria at large to urgently assist the victims of bandits attacks in Chediya Ward of  Tsafe local government in Zamfara state.  The victims who are now taking shelter in various Internal Displace Persons (IDPs) camps within Tsafe and its environs, were in need of foodstuffs, shelter and medication.
