KDSG VOWS TO IMPROVE THE WELFARE OF NURSES AND MIDWIVES IN THE STATE

The Kaduna state Commissioner for Health, Hajiya Umma Kaltume Ahmad has reiterated the state government commitment to improve the welfare of Nurse's, Midwives and other health security personnel in the state.
Hajiya Umma made the statement during the general annual meeting of KADA Nurses and Midwives Empowerment Initiative (ENDWELL) which recently held at Asaa Pyramid Hotel in Kaduna.
According to the Commissioner, "it's parts of the Seven sustainable agenda of governor Uba Sani to improve the wellbeing of health sector in the state, for effective health deliberation to the peoples of the state.
She however encouraged the Nurses and Midwives to utilise the opportunity that rare, " because it's the kinds of financial security system that prevent them to relied only on the salaries, workers need to generate some sources of income outside the box.
"the ENDWELL initiative would definitely assist in creation the financial comfortability, it also support workers in managing their families affairs, as we'll as the promotion in workers capacity.
The Commissioner,further called union member's that have opportunity to collect the loans for being committed to pay back as when due so as others utilize the opportunity to access the loan.
In her addressed, the the End well Chairman board of Trustees, Comrade Cecilia Musa, appreciated the of NANNM Chairman, Comrade Ishaku Yakubu, for finding her worthy of leading the board of Trustees at this very material time.
She however, informed that, the Kaduna state government had came with criteria, that the only registered cooperative societies will allowed to make deduction from individuals salary.
"therefore the KADA Nurses and Midwives Empowerment initiative saving scheme (NANNNM ENDWELL) changed to KADS NURSES And MIDWIVES MULTI PURPOSE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY."
Also speaking at the occasion, Hajiya Saadatu Shehu, the Director Nurses and Midwives, ministry of Health Kaduna, called on the subscribers to gives the scheme a deserved attention by ensuring abiding the rules and regulations of the scheme.
"I encouraged on the Nurses and Midwives to key in to the system, also committed for accountable on undertaking in regard of the scheme."
In his earlier welcomed addressed, the Chairman NANNM Kaduna state Comrade Ishaku Yakubu, highlighted the aims and objectives of the scheme; to pull resources together for the benefit of all subscribers and encouraged a savings culture/habit among subscribers.
"to encouraged members to save against their retirement, grant loans to all subscribers and initiate/execute project that will generate income to the scheme."
He further explained that, the scheme have the total of 645 subscribers that's joined, and many more were coming in.
