FGN HOLDS A 5 DAY TRAINING TO 120 FRONT LINES HEALTH WORKERS IN KADUNA STATE

 The Federal Ministry of Health in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Agency have commence the five days state training to masters trainers of one hundred and twenty front lines community's health worker's from the 23 local government areas of Kaduna state.

 The five day  workshop which is In line with the federal government's directives to train frontline health workers, spearheaded by Minister of Health, Dr. Ali Pate, and the zonal Co ordinator National Primary Health Care Agency Dr. Mui Eina, held at Hotel seventh in Kaduna.

 Speaking with newsmen, the Kaduna state Coordinator National primary Health Development Agency, Hajiya Mariya Nasir, said "the aims of the sensitisation is for better patient care, Stronger health response. and Increased access to healthcare.

   "Preventive of health education.as well as to Support for health goals (e.g. reduced maternal and child mortality).also to Improved morale and confidence among health workers, and Long-term investment in a resilient healthcare system."

 She however noted that, the training will later castigate in the various 23 local government areas at lower level through the Nutrition focal persons, Malaria prevention officers and Reproductive Health focal persons.

 Also speaking with newsmen,  the Kaduna state Reproductive Health co ordinator and also the state Coordinator Family Planning, Hajiya Habiba Ahmad Aliyu, said "our expectations on the training is to improve and encourage  the front lines health care workers to deliver  a qualitaty to all primary health centres in an integrated manner.

  She also explained that, " integrated manner meant to focus to delivered services; in Immunization, Family planning, Antinantal care and delivery care for minor elements.

 "And all other treatment that  can be able to handle at lower level, but if there is any complication it  should be referred to the secondary heath care facilitators."

   Speaking with trainee, Mohammad Tukur a Nutrition focal person from Zaria local government, expressed his satisfaction with the workshop, and assured his readiness to castigate the knowledge acquired in the training to the community health care workers at Lower level.

 "I'm in Kaduna for the training of front lines health care workers, of integration health services for effective delivery across the 23 local government areas."

 Also the female participant, Hajiya  Altine Ilu, the Reproductive health Coordinator Igabi Local government, stressed the importance of front lines health care workers as the first stage in the community, "we care the community and we are in the community.

" The  training will  enable  us to give  out the skills we learned to the health care workers at the community level, also enjoyed women to patronage the health care facilities".
