NO ANY COUNTRY DEVELOPED UNTIL IT KNOWS HOW TO UTILIZE IT'S RESOURCES :- FORMER MINISTER

Former state minister of Finance, Dr Yarima Lawal Ngama, Matawallen Bade, has stressed that "no any country in the world would developed until it knows how to utilize their resources judiciously.
Matawallen Bade said this in interview with newsmen at a second Memorial Lecture and Book Launching in honour of Alhaji Ali Akilu, former Secretary to the government of the Northern Region.
The lecture which was organised by Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) in collaboration with Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, held at Arewa House in Kaduna.
According to the former minister of Finance," in Nigeria all governments levels have rushy to spend their monthly revenue allocation shared to them, which is hindering our economics development.
'its not advisable for a government to spend all their monthly allocation and even looking for the loan to carry out a certain projects."
Dr Yarima also advised all the tiers of government to create excess reserve fund for serving some certain percentage from allocation their monthly or annually, this should woefully help the government in carrying out major projects targeted or encountered.
Yarima Ngama however noted that, during the previous administrations government used such eccess fund reserved to build Ajaokuta Steel Company and the Construction of Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
Dr Ngama further, advised the federal government to give a constitutional provisions for traditional institution, so as to help the government in some critical sector especially insecurity.
"Issue of governments relied on petroleum products is not the case, " "knowledge", meant, in Africans don't have the knowledge to exploits our minerals resources, we rather hired the foreigners (white people that would hijack our resources."
"Niger republic is the example ,of the country that's overshadowed their mineral resources by France," it's the only Twenty percent of their crude oil revenue exploitation generated goes the Niger." He concluded.
