ZAMFARA STATE CHILD PROTECTION COMMITTEE INAUGURATED

Zamfara State Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun has reaffirmed Zamfara State Government's resolve to ensuring effective implementation of Zamfara State Child Protection Law for the well-being of children in the state.

The Commissioner made the reaffirmation while addressing members and the participants at a 5-Day Workshop on the Implementation Strategy for Zamfara State Child Protection Law and the inauguration of the State Child Protection Implementation Committee in Kaduna.

Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun disclosed that the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal in collaboration with UNICEF has been committed to the well-being of children adding that the Governor already made the state government's obligation of counterpart which will ensure significant protection of children across the state.

The Commissioner who is also the Chairperson of the State Child Protection Implementation Committee assured of the committee's determination to work diligently and efficiently while discharging the mandate of the committee.

Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun therefore urged members of the committee to live above board with a view to justifying the confidence reposed in them.

She moreover expressed her profound appreciation to the Commissioners of Information and Culture Comrade Mannir Mu'azu Haidara Kaura Namoda, Humanitarian and Relief Matters Honourable Salisu Musa Tsafe, Senior Government Officials, Implementing Partners, CSOs, Representative of Nigeria Council Of Ulama'u Zamfara State Chapter and Security Agents for their immense participation at the workshop.

Zamfara Health Commissioner Resolves NMA Leadership Tussle, As She Receives Elders Commendation

Tsafe Development Forum Appeals For An Urgent Support To The Victims Of Bandits Attacks In Chediya Ward

  By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna  The Tsafe Local Government Development Forum has called on the philanthropists in Tsafe, Zamfara and Nigeria at large to urgently assist the victims of bandits attacks in Chediya Ward of  Tsafe local government in Zamfara state.  The victims who are now taking shelter in various Internal Displace Persons (IDPs) camps within Tsafe and its environs, were in need of foodstuffs, shelter and medication.
