ZMSG Trains 80 Media Aides Information Officers And Social Media Influencers

The Zamfara state government in collaboration with KERAWEB MEDIA Nigeria Limited have commenced a two day training workshop for Eighty government media aides, information officers and social media influencers for effective policy communication.
The two workshop which organised by the state ministry for information and culture, with theme; "Using Media For Effective Policy Communication, which recently held at Stonehedge Hotel in Kaduna.
In his address, the state Commissioner For Information And Culture, Comrade Mannir Muazu Haidara, said "the aims of the training is to equipped the latest tools and strategies to navigate the complex world of communication effectively.
The Commissioner however expressed that, " in line with Governor Dauda Lawal 2024 budget titled "Rescue Mission", have listed six areas of priorities; Security, Agriculture, Education, Health, Economy and Infrastructure.
" To achieve that the governor launched the "Central Delivery Coordinating Committee (CDCC),for effective delivery in various MDA's,to monitor, access and ensure that the governance output improve the living condition, also set the parameters of evaluation to Commissioners and head agencies performance in quarterly."
"Our major ambition of organising the training is to build a fair and equitable society and close the widening inequality particularly in the sector of information.
Speaking with newsmen, the out going permanent Secretary of the ministry, Barrister Sani Nasarawa, appreciated with the KARAWEB Media limited for their excellent performance toward facilitating, coordinating and execution of the training.
He tasked the trainees for being actively participated, ask questions and share their insight with their fellow colleagues, in order to acquire the huge knowledge that would burst the working capacity to their respective places of work.
Also speaking, the participants Fatima Ibrahim Dosara and Usman Bello Tsafe, from ministry of information and information Officer Tsafe local government respectively, Thanked the state government for given opportunity to attend the workshop.
"We have learned a lot based on reporting and the synergy between the information officers, journalist and the social media practitioner's in various ways and the other."
Earlier in his welcome address the MD KERAWEB MEDIA LIMITED, DAHIRU HASSAN KERA, said "Using Media for Effective Policy Communication" sponsored by the Zamfara State government through the ministry of information and culture.
"its timely, when the fake news have been the order of the day and with the evolution of social media, the cyberspace has been inundated with unverified information capable of causing crisis and even truncating good governance.
"kidnappings, banditry, and other criminalities bedevilling our societies, Zamfara state notably inclusive."
The new trend in the media of amplifying unpatriotic contents makes this an important time to time apprise and update our knowledge on the workings of the media,"
He maintained that, the new media and this training is one such avenues where I believe the participants will, at the end of the day, be equipped with lots of knowledge.
'Explored all the participants to utilize this opportunity very well by participating fully in all the sessions.
He further appreciated the Zamfara state government under the leadership Dr. Dauda Lawal for finding Keraweb Media Limited worthy for this training.
While speaking with participants; Fatima Ibrahim Dosara and Usman Bello Tsafe, the information officer Tsafe local government and public relation officer from ministry of information respectively, thanked the state government for given them the opportunity to attend the workshop,
