Scholarship Initiative:- Yari Sets To Sponsor 1700 Zamfara Indigens

Former governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara west senatorial district,  Hon. Abdulaziz Yari set to grants full scholarship to 1700 qualified students to study at various universities in the country.


This was made known to journalists in Gusau by the chairman Abudulazi Yari scholarships initiative committee, Sen. Tijjani Yahaya Kaura at a Press conference.

He said, 100 qualified students will be selected from each local government from Zamfara central and north senatorial zones, while 150 students will be selected from Zamfara west senatorial district where Sen Abdulaziz Yari is representing.

According to the committee chairman, each student will be paid all his study fees for the duration of the course and accommodation, adding that each student will be given monthly allowance for him to study with ease.

Sen Tijjani Yahaya Kaura hinted  that, all  arrangements by the committee have been concluded for proper screening of the qualified students under the Sen Abdulaziz Yari scholarships initiative in the state.


He however noted that, the scholarship will be granted to the qualified students regardless of their political backgrounds in the state.


"I want to categorically stated that under the Sen Abdulaziz Yari scholarships initiative is not a political and any student qualified be it from any other political party, will enjoy the scheme". He said


Further more, Kaura revealed that the aims of the initiative is to enable students from the lower class family get access to university education with ease.


He charged qualified students to get in touch with the committee and submit their qualifications for easy clarification for them to benefit from the scheme.
