Family Planning:- Couple Advise To Stop Visiting Medicine Stores For Medication

People have been advised to desist themselves from attending unprofessional medical personnel, chemist or any place for having access to Family Planing care.
The state coordinator Family Planing, Zamfara State Primary Health Care Board, Hajiya Shafa gave the advice during a one day engagement with Male Champions on Comprehensive Community Mobilization for Family Planning, organised by the Zamfara State Primary Health Care Board in collaboration With United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), held at Kofar Mani Clinic ,Sabon Gari Area in Gusau.
The Coordinator however encouraged them to visit any of the One Hundred and Fourty Seven Health facility centres in each ward of the Fourteen local government areas in the state to access free family planning medication.
"The aim of sensitization is to reduce the maternal and child maternity in our respective society, by enlighten the champions on the benefit of birth spacing in promoting the quality of health to both the Mother and the child."
Speaking during the sensitization programme, the Director Community Health and Family Services, Zamfara State Family Health Care Board, Bello Maccido, said, the essence of an engagement of male in such family awareness is for them to enlighten their wives on how to manage themselves pertaining family planning.
He however called on the participants to admired what they were told and adopt it when they go back to their respective houses.
In his address, the Director Religious Matters, Zamfara State Ministry for Religious Affairs, Mallam Nura Na Uku, highlighted that, child spacing, birth spacing and family planning are all common, Islam don't prohibit it, rather prohibited the permanent control of birth, with out health reason.
He also noted that, birth spacing is practised during the prophet Muhammad SAW, as Hadith indicated that, some Sahabs used the withdrawal method during JiMai, when they realized that the wives would not capable to conceived and maintain the pregnancy for health reason.
He further revealed that, there is some perception from Ulama, said even for economic reason birth spacing is allowed, in a situation where by parents can not afford to provide, food, shelter, education, health and discipline to their children.
"As prophet called on to married and taken birth so as He proudly at the day of judgement, also stressed that, prophet Muhammad SAW would not proud with the people that have not integrity, like Bandits, thugs, thieves or Area boys."
One of the participants, malam Abubakar Musa of Unguwar Marafa Sabon Gari, expressed his excitement with the sensitization, "It gives us opportunity to resolved the problems between our wives in the family affairs especially on family planning which have huge disagreement.
He however called on the government to sustained such kinds of programmes for citizens awareness in the society.
