WIKIMEDIA FOUNDATION LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN ON DIGITAL LITERACY IN KADUNA

The Co ordinator Wikimedia User Group of Nigeria, Kaduna Network, Hajiya Ramatu A Halliru ,said the foundation have welcomes any government officials, organisation and individuals who are ready to contribute Wikimedia campaign in Kaduna state.

 The campaigns with aims to  improve the Northern youth on digital literacy, and youths empowerment on how to show case the images internationally.

 Hajiya Ramatu Halliru explained this during the interview with pressmen, in 2024 wiki love earth Campagn, organised by the foundation, held at Arewa House in Kaduna.

 According to the coordinator,  this year campaign titled, "wiki love earth 2024"  is an exercise organised by Wikimedia foundation in Kaduna, with contents to show case our natural environment.

 "The campaign aimed also to promote climate change in our environment especially in Kaduna where we have Museums, parks, Mountain's and rivers, all their pictures need to show case to the world."

 "Our target is youth in respective of their gender, religious, ethnic and their cultural backgrounds."

  Dr Lukman Salati vice president Kaduna Wikimedia network, said, the sensitization is meant to create awareness about love to natural human being need to show love for themselves.

 "The theme of this campaigns: Wiki love Earth Campaign 2024, is also about showing love to one another, showing love to other creative apart of human being."

 Also the secretary of the foundation, Mr Friday Musa, said the purpose of having the training campagn is to promote the natural heritage having here in Kaduna state and Nigeria at large.

 "Our target is to show case the beautiful size of Kaduna, beautiful land map and beautiful monuments of Kaduna, we also engaged in physical and online training through zoom or Google's."

Some of the participants of the campaign, Nana Fatima Oliza Jatto from Mahuta, and Ahmad Musa Sale, expressed their satisfaction with the workshop, and commended the organisation and the official for their tremendous efforts.

 They however called on the government to provide financial assistance's toward supporting the foundation on youths empowerment for the development of our dear country Nigeria.

Zamfara Health Commissioner Resolves NMA Leadership Tussle, As She Receives Elders Commendation

Tsafe Development Forum Appeals For An Urgent Support To The Victims Of Bandits Attacks In Chediya Ward

  By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna  The Tsafe Local Government Development Forum has called on the philanthropists in Tsafe, Zamfara and Nigeria at large to urgently assist the victims of bandits attacks in Chediya Ward of  Tsafe local government in Zamfara state.  The victims who are now taking shelter in various Internal Displace Persons (IDPs) camps within Tsafe and its environs, were in need of foodstuffs, shelter and medication.
