KDSPHCB, NPHCDA TRAIN FRONTLINES WORKERS ON CLINICAL COMPETANCY IN kADUNA

The Kaduna state primary health care board in collaboration with national primary health care development agency, have commenced a Ten day training of front lines health care workers at local government area levels on "clinical competencies" to improve the health care performances.

 The Ten day training would hold in each Twenty Three local government areas in Kaduna state, under the supervision of federal ministry of health, which recently commissioned at Unguwar Shanu primary health care centre, Kaduna north in Kaduna.

  In her address the Kaduna state Co ordinator national primary health care development agency, also the chief facilitator of the training, Hajiya Mariya Nasir, said "the main objective of the training is to create a competency to all the health care workers on how to delivered their services in their respective place of work.

 And improved morale and confidence among health workers, and created long term investment in a resilient health care system.

 The co ordinator however commended the efforts of minister of health, Dr Ali Pate, the national primary health care development agency under the leadership of Dr Mui Aina, and among other partners, also the state primary health care board.

 She also urged the trainers to concentrate in order to build their competence, and ensure they asked everything that didn't understand, "not just listen the lecture, it's expected integrated the services in their respective facilities.

 "The aims of the training is for better patient care, stronger health response and increase access to health care, as well as to support the health goals, (reduced maternal and child mortality).

  In his remarked the Executive Secretary Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board, Dr Bello Yusuf Jamo, represented by Alhaji Hamza Ikara, described the training workshop for the health worker as apt towards improved health care delivery in the state. 

 'The medical field is dynamic hence the need for total commitment on the part of the health workers toward achieving the desired objective."

 He however enjoined all health workers in the state to always update their knowledge to be abreast of the new challenges in the medical profession.

  He also assured that, the state government will continue to support the health sector towards enhancing service delivery in all ramifications, it would provide essential medical equipment to all Hospitals and Health Centres, as well as regular training of health personnel's.
