Insecurity :- Former Zamfara Commissioner Of Information Urges Gov, Dauda Lawal To Stop Playing The Blame Game Against Matawalle

Alhaji Ibrahim Maigandi Danmalikin Gidangoga, a former Zamfara Commissioner of Information has called on Gov. Dauda Lawal to stop playing the blame game against Minister of State for Defence, Alhaji Bello Matawalle to tackle security challenges in the state.

Danmalikin-Gidangoga in a statement issued in Gusau on Friday condemned recent attack on Matawalle by Gov. Lawal.

He noted that such comments on media by Gov Lawal against Matawalle has no value to the development of the state.

He said Gov Lawal must collaborate with Matawalle to tackle security challenges in the state.

“The two leaders should collaborate to achieve the ongoing Anti-banditry operations in the state by the Federal Government.

“I think Gov. Lawal should stop the blame gave on unnecessary issues, let him focus on the development of the state,”.

“The Federal Government is a great making effort as regard to fight against security.

“The state government must also use it machineries like Community Protection Guard (CPG) judiciously towards achievements of peace and stability in the state,”he explained.

“Matawalle should be commended for recent achievements recorded in anti-banditry effort not only in Zamfara but in the North West region.

“I am calling on Gov Dauda Lawal to set politics aside and collaborate with Matawalle, security agencies to restore peace and stability in the state.

“I think the security issue is a collaborative responsibility, therefore it beyond personal interest,” Danmalikin-Gidangoga added.

He further said that the federal government has made notable strides in tackling insecurity, especially through its targeted efforts to combat banditry in Zamfara and North West.

He noted that since inauguration of the ongoing military operations in the region by Matawalle the bandit activities has drastically reduced.

“The ongoing operations neutralised key bandit leaders in the North West including wanted Halilu Sububu,” he added.

“I enjoy our gallant troops to sustain their efforts in restoring peace and stability in the country.

“I think Matawalle is doing the needful, the security agencies are making great success in tackling banditry activities not only in Zamfara but in whole North West.

“Gov Lawal should focus on interest of the state, the major needs of Zamfara citizens is security, peace and stability.

“The governor should focus on interest of the state, the major needs of Zamfara citizens is security, peace and stability,” he explained.

Danmalikin-Gidangoga called on governor Lawal to stop shipting unnecessary blame against Matawalle.

“Matawalle as Minister of State for Defence is doing the needful, all we need is to support him irrespective of political differences,” the former Commissioner explained
