LG ELECTION; SIECOM SCREENS 76 CHAIRMANSHIP CANDIDATES FROM 10 POLITICAL PARTIES IN KADUNA STATE

The Executive Chairman Kaduna state Independent Electoral Commission, (SIECOM). Hajiya Hajara Mohammed has said that, Seventy Six candidates from Ten political parties have registered with the commission and screened for the incoming local government elections in Kaduna state.
Hajiya Hajara made this to known while briefing the newsmen, at the end of screening excirses, organised by the commission for Chairmanship candidates from Ten political parties registered to the forth coming local government election, held at SIECOM headqurter in Kaduna.
According to the Chairman, "the commission have successfully screened Seventy Six Chairmanship contestants from Ten out of Nineteen registered political parties in Nigeria.
The commission however would display the valid and disqualified candidate that participated from the excirses, regarding to the elections guide lines, on Twenteeth September this year, and distributed to various political parties registered for the elections.
Hajiya Hajara Mohammed however, ensured the Kaduna state citizens that the commission is full abiding to the elections guideline's time tables to hold the elections on Nineteenth of October this year.
She also appealed to the candidates from all political parties to play the game by abiding the election guideline's, and make sure they avoid any acts that may disrupt the peace and harmony of the citizens in the state, before, during and after the elections.
The Chairman further called on the electorates to come out massively on elections day to vote for the candidate base on their choices. Stressing that vote is your rights don't fail your rights.
Earlier speaking, the Kagarko Local government Chairman candidate of Labour Party, Mr Daniel Paul, expressed his satisfaction for the conduct of the screening excirses conducted by the state election body's.
He also urged the commission to maintain the policy fairness from the beginning of the process to the end of announcement of results.
