LG ELECTIONS; KADUNA PDP CALLS FOR FAIRNESS

The secretary peoples democratic party (PDP) Kaduna state, Alhaji Ibrahim Wusomo, has appealed to the Kaduna state independent electoral commission (SIEC), for being fairness to each party that registered for the incoming local government elections.

Ibrahim Wusomo made appeales in his office during the screening exercises of the PDP's aspirants for the incoming local government Chairmen's and councillors elections in the state, held at party secretariat in Kaduna.

 According to the secretary, "as I'm speaking to you now, no any copy of  constitutional backing guiding the elections submitted to any opposition parties.'

 Wusomo however noted that, 'its ridiculous that the election body have submitted two memo's pertaining the funds fees for local government Chairmen and the Councillors, five hundred naira fees for the Chairmanship firstly submitted.

While the second noticed indicated Two million fees for Chairmanship, we however directed our legal officer to write to the election body for clarification.

He further cautioned the APC government to avoid any act aimed at either truncating the elections or raping the PDP candidate

The Secretary therefore enjoined the PDP to ensure all those contesting under it are credible and worthy of enjoying the support of the electorate at the polls.

Speaking to Journalists, the chairmanship aspirant from Zaria Local Government, Alhaji Sani Ibrahim Mainasara commended the party for articulate arrangement of the screening exercise.

Also speaking to Journalists the aspirant from Jaba Local Government, Engineer Ladan Mamuda said if elected as chairman would positively focus attention on issues bordering on security, education, health, peace, gingering farming and tourism activities.

Another aspirant from Kaduna North, Isah Gidado pointed out that if elected his focus would be on creating new sources of internal revenue generation IGR and tackling problems of drug addiction in partnership with the Kaduna State Bureau of Substance Abuse and prevention
