Gov, Radda Offers 11 Automatic Employment To IKCOE Graduating Students

Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has approved the immediate release of eleven automatic employment letters to the best performing graduates of Isa Kaita College of education Dutsin-ma.
The Governor made the pronouncement at the second conbine convocation of the college which held at the college CONVOCATION Arena in Dutsin-ma, Katsina State.
Malam Dikko Umar Radda said the students have shown both moral and academic excellence during their stay at the college which need to be rewarded and urged others to borrow leaf from them.
He also announced the donation of two million naira to three staff of the college who dedicated themselves to their primary and secondary responsibilities of the institution which to include one academic staff, non academic staff and a junior staff.
Dikko Radda also offers automatic scholarship to a female student who is physically challenge adding that, his administration will sponsor her education up to degree level.
The governor also assured to support the institution with the necessary security gadgets as well as to construct security watch towers within the school premises in order to provide security of lives and properties of staff and students.
He also assured that, his administration's commitment to the education sector adding that, state government had offered permanent employment to over 700 N_power teachers as well as construction of classrooms at primary and secondary schools across the state
Speaking earlier, the Provost of the college Dr. Ismaila Ado Funtua said the college has made considerable progress which made it to become one of the best teacher training institutions in the county.
According to him, apart from the training of teachers at the NCE levels, the college has already graduated 773 undergraduate students and were conferred with bachelor's degrees in education by the Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Zaria.
He added that, the college has a staff strength of 472 comprising of 236 academic staff, and the half being non_academic staff which out of 236 academic staff, 35 are PhD holders and 118 have acquired Masters Degrees in various fields.
The Provost also enumerate some challenges facing the institution which to include law intake, staff poaching, lack of access roads and drainges,logistics support as well as general insecurity.
