NOA In Kaduna Launches Campaign On Security, HIV AIDS, Human Rights And Danger In Acquire Quick Wealth

The National Orientation Agency NOA Kaduna state have organised a one day sensitization campaign on security awareness, HIV Aids Human rights and the Discouragements for Get Rich Quick within the societies.

 The campaigns with theme; "Ethical Values and National Development"which recently held at Arewa House in Kaduna.

 In his address, the Director National Orientation Agency Kaduna state, Malam Hamisu Abubakar Meyere, said "the essence of organising the Town Hall meeting is to continuing nationwide mobilization of people for being united and committed to address issues fostering the society.

  For being informed, secured and ethical society, it required collectives action and active participation from all Nigerian's.

 According to the Meyere, several efforts had been taken by government  in addressing the menace of insecurity; deploying technology, such as surveillance system and intelligence gathering to combat criminal activities.

 He further explained that, "these efforts require the active support of citizens to report suspicious activities and to co operate with law enforcement agencies, also urged citizens to be conscious of the fact that security begins with you and I.

  On the issue of World HIV  Aids  Day, the Director, however maintained that government alone cannot win the fight against HIV Aids, citizens must take advantage of the services provided by government and other entities, practice responsible health behaviors, and support those living with the virus.

 "Citizens have a big role to play in halting the spread of the disease and carrying these messages across the length and breadth of Nigeria through our diverse messaging platforms."

 Malam Hamisu Meyere also called on the citizens to reject shortcut to wealth and embrace integrity, hard work, and the opportunities provided through government and private sectors initiatives to make life for the citizens.

 He further noted that the tendency to resort to criminal ways is to acquire illegal gotten wealth so as to impress others is heightened.

 The Director NOA also addressed on the issue of World Human Rights day, for the commemorations this day NOA, government established support centres for survivors of abuse and violence in collaboration with civil society.

 It also promoting constitutional awareness to ensure citizens understand their rights and responsibilities.these efforts achieved when  citizens stands for justice, respect the rights of others, and report the violation to the appropriate authority.

 No government can succeed alone to addresses these four critical issues, together we must create the society that's healthy, secure, ethical, and united in purpose. He added.
