By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau
In an effort to bolster healthcare services, the Zamfara State Contributory Health Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA) recently conducted an oversight visit to the King Fahad Ibn Abdul-Aziz Women and Children Hospital.
The visit, led by acting Executive Secretary Dr. Iliyasu Ahmed Saleh, aimed to ensure the hospital's adherence to ZAMCHEMA's operational guidelines and benefit package.
The initiative comes as Governor Dada Lawal has declared a state of emergency in the state's health sector, prioritizing a "rescue mission" to improve healthcare outcomes.
Dr. Saleh emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination between ZAMCHEMA and the hospital to achieve this goal.
He stressed the need for a strong partnership to ensure that residents receive quality healthcare services.
In a remark, the Hospital Managing Director Dr. Gambo Luman expressed his commitment to the partnership and assured that the hospital will work diligently to implement ZAMCHEMA's guidelines.
He stated that the hospital is aligned with Governor Lawal's development agenda and is dedicated to improving health indices across the state.
This move by the Zamfara State government signals a proactive approach to addressing the healthcare challenges facing the region.
By strengthening partnerships and ensuring compliance with established guidelines, the state aims to provide better healthcare access and improve the overall health of its citizens.
The statement was signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau by Suleiman Isah, ANIPR, Information Officer Ministry of Health.
