NBTE Commends Gov, Dauda Lawal For Total Renovation Of College Of Health Science And Technology Tsafe

The National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) has expressed its gratitude to Zamfara State Government for the renovation and equipping of the College of Health Sciences and Technology  Tsafe.

 The appreciation was conveyed by Alhaji Samaila Tanko, the Director of Monotechnic Programs  at NBTE and team leader for the quality assurance visitation to the college, during an event held at the college auditorium. 

While addressing attendees, Alhaji Tanko emphasized that the visit was initiated following an invitation to evaluate specific courses, with the intent to secure approval from the NBTE for their commencement.

 "We have inspected and verified several resources within the college, and once the approval stage is reached, we plan to return for further assessments," he stated. 

Alhaji Tanko notably commended the Zamfara State Government for its commitment to enhancing the health sector, particularly in relation to the college's renovation and the facilities that have been put in place. He encouraged the state government to continue its support, particularly in providing modern equipment for practical sessions. 

Moreover, he urged the college management to maintain the infrastructure and facilities diligently, ensuring they remain conducive to learning and training. The commitment to educational excellence, he noted, is vital for the success of the students. 

In his remarks, Alhaji Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa, the Provost of the Zamfara State College of Health Sciences and Technology, assured attendees that the college is dedicated to acquiring essential observational equipment within the next six months. "The state Governor has promised the renovation and construction of a new structure where renovation work has been completed, along with the establishment of all required laboratories and workshops," he confirmed. 

The Provost further explained that the inspection program involved resource verification for eight programs and the examination of two specific programs. "The purpose of this exercise is to convert our programs into National Diploma qualifications, aligning with the federal government's directive to integrate professional qualifications for our students within the national framework," he added. 

He expressed gratitude to the NBTE delegation for their dedication and commitment in conducting the assessment at the college. The collaboration between the Zamfara State Government and NBTE marks a significant step toward improving educational standards in the region.
