ZAMFARA STATE GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES BLOOD SAFETY, LAB QUALITY INITIATIVES.

The Zamfara state Ministry of Health has on Thursday formed Committees to improve blood transfusion safety and medical laboratory quality. 

Health Commissioner Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun inaugurated the teams, addressing concerns about screening practices in some facilities.

Director of Medical Laboratory services Sanusi Jamilu Rawayya cited the need for improved quality assurance, particularly in pre-transfusion screening, including P24 testing. 

He expressed commitment to strengthening blood transfusion services across the state.

Abdullahi Garba Chairman Safe Blood Transfusion on behalf of the Committee member, assures the Commissioner they will do their best to ensure success is recorded across the committee.
