KDHA Passes Bills For A Law To Establish SSS Education Board, Mental Health Services Department

 The Kaduna state house of assembly have passed the bill for a law to provide the establishment of Kaduna state senior secondary schools education board and other related matters. And the bill for the law to establish a Mental Health Services Department,

Speaking with newsmen  after the adjournment of a bills, recently in Kaduna, the Chairman house committee on education Barrister Mohamud Ismail, member representing Zaria City constituency, said "the essence of creation is to go inline with the modern system of education.

 The new system that's Nine Three Four (9,3, 4) system introduce by federal house of assembly, changed from the Six Three Three Four system (6,3,3,4).

  "Also inline with national policy of education which made it mandatory for each and every state to establish a board that is managing the affairs of senior secondary schools before each state benefit from the package of education."

 Tthat include funds for maintenance, works and give up for senior secondary schools education.

Also speaking the Chairman house committee on Health, Hon Haruna Barnabas member represent Kauri Chawai constituency, said" the bill for a law to establish a "Mental Health Services Department to promote and protect the right of persons with intellectual, psychosocial or cognitive.

 "The law provide for enhancement and regulation of mental health service in Kaduna state and for related matters."

 He however noted that, in African countries drug abuse is given a different interpretation, youths involved in drug abuse, neglected in the society.

 "With the law guiding them, it's the best way to use them importance and valuable in the society."

 Mr Barnabas further explained that, "the bill seek to created an agency that would manage the crisis entirely, and also see how to reach the global emerge.
