Zamfara Lawmaker Distributes 36.94M Scholarship To FUGUS AND ZASCONS Students From His Constituency

Member House of Representatives Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency Hon. Dr. Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has disbursed 36.94 Million Naira scholarship grant to students of his constituency studying at Federal University Gusau and Zamfara State College of Nursing Sciences Gusau.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau by Aminu Lawal Bungudu, Chief Spokesperson to the Lawmaker.

According to the statement, the payment exercise which took place at the constituency office in Bungudu town over the weekend indicates that FUGUS students totalling 670 were paid 26.8 million naira while 338 students of College of Nursing Sciences Gusau benefitted with 10.140 Million naira.

The University students were given 40,000 naira each and Nursing & Midwifery students got 30,000 naira each.

Chairman Education and Scholarship Committe, Malam Muhammad Lawal Adamu said the idea to embark on this laudable project was to complimenting   parent's effort towards handling their children's educational burdens especially in this critical period.

He said this time, the committee employed a system of collaborating with  schools MIS/ICT to get students data, the idea that significantly assisted in reducing omissions from the part of beneficiaries.

"Data of indigines of Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency across benefitting institutions are sourced directly from school's MIS/ICT". Lawal explained.

However the exercise will be continued next week with other sister institutions.

Tsafe Development Forum Appeals For An Urgent Support To The Victims Of Bandits Attacks In Chediya Ward

  By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna  The Tsafe Local Government Development Forum has called on the philanthropists in Tsafe, Zamfara and Nigeria at large to urgently assist the victims of bandits attacks in Chediya Ward of  Tsafe local government in Zamfara state.  The victims who are now taking shelter in various Internal Displace Persons (IDPs) camps within Tsafe and its environs, were in need of foodstuffs, shelter and medication.
