Zamfara Politics:-Parallel State House Of Assembly Members Emerged, Named Bashir Aliyu Gummi As New Speaker

A new political tension has today occurred in Zamfara State House Of Assembly as parallel House of Assembly emerged with Hon. Bashir Aliyu Gummi  as new speaker in the state.

Members that attended today's parallel sittings were Hon. Aliyu Ango Kagara, Member Representing Talata Mafara South, Hon. Ibrahim Tudu Tukur Bakura, Member Representing Bakura, Hon.  Nasiru Abdullahi Maru,  Member, Representing Maru North. Hon. Faruk Musa Dosara Member representing Maradun 1, 

Others are Hon Bashar Aliyu Member representing Gummi 1, Hon Barrister Bashir Abubakar Masama Member representing Bukkuyum North, Hon Amiru Ahmed Member representing Tsafe West, Hon Basiru Bello Member representing Bungudu West and Hon Mukhtar  Nasiru Member representing kaura Namoda North.

Those Members who created the Parallel state House of Assembly have  described their suspension as illegal, misleading and unfounded. Saying how can an impeached speaker by 18 out of 24 members suspend other members. 

The lawmakers who reinforced the selection of Hon Bashar Aliyu Gummi as Speaker  maintained that Hon. Bilyaminu Moriki remained impeached

The factional Speaker, Hon. Bashar Aliyu Gummi,  representing Gummi 1 State constituency after deliberations 
that lasted for about two hours, announced that members have issued a one month ultimatum to governor Dauda Lawal within which to solve all insecurity issues bedevilled the state.

During the sitting, all the members contributed to the issue of insecurity, breach of the nation's constitution by governor Dauda Lawal, and indiscriminate dismissal of state civil servants without cognitive reason.  

The law makers urged the state government to change its attitude of not supporting security agents who sacrifice their lives in the defence of citizens by ensuring that he gives them all the complementary necessary support. 

The parallel Assembly members accused governor Dauda for spending huge sums of money on trivial matters while poverty and insecurity have taken over the whole 14 local government areas of the state.

Recall that last year some members of the state house of assembly impeached Speaker Moriki for alleged high handedness and misconducts among others.
Two weeks after that  the house summoned an emergency meeting and resolved to suspend  10 members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly by the impeached Speaker, Hon. Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki for voicing out their constituents' security challenges in the state

Zamfara Health Commissioner Resolves NMA Leadership Tussle, As She Receives Elders Commendation

Tsafe Development Forum Appeals For An Urgent Support To The Victims Of Bandits Attacks In Chediya Ward

  By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna  The Tsafe Local Government Development Forum has called on the philanthropists in Tsafe, Zamfara and Nigeria at large to urgently assist the victims of bandits attacks in Chediya Ward of  Tsafe local government in Zamfara state.  The victims who are now taking shelter in various Internal Displace Persons (IDPs) camps within Tsafe and its environs, were in need of foodstuffs, shelter and medication.
