Gov, Uba Sani To Review Salary Scale Of 72000 Senior Civil Servants

  The Kaduna state governor Malan  Uba Sani has promised to review for adjustment of the Seventy two thousand minimum wages salary paid for senior civil servants  to all sectors in Kaduna state.

 Governor Uba Sani made the promised during the celebration of 2025  international worker's Day, which recently held at Murtala Square in Kaduna.

  The governor however said that "our administration has complied with the Minimum Wage Act because no civil servant in Kaduna State is earning less than N70,000."

He however noted that, "as a human rights activist, fought for the citizens right, justice and freedom  and severally detened for the struggled ,i cant sleep while workers were suffered and mal treated to their rights.

 " i had been on street severally to agitate for the return of democracy and workers rights in the past, i also believed in the dignity of labour."

  He also acknowledged that  the issue of incremental adjustment of salaries, promising that the issue will be resolved through negotiations with labour leaders and trade Union came out with the formula that will make workers happy in the state.

The Governor further reaffirmed his government commitment by introducing policies and programmes enhance the living conditions of pensioners and workers as top priority.

  " I recently approved to released N3.8 billion to settle outstanding gratuities, death benefits and accrued rights under the Contributory Pension Scheme."

‘’Since the inception of our administration, we have paid cumulatively the sum of N10.4 billion in gratuity, death benefits and accrued rights in the Contributory Pension Scheme,’’ 

The  governor also approved the recruitment of 1,800 medical personnel to strengthen the state’s Primary Health Care System and 3,000 teachers have also been employed to boost the capacity of public schools.

He disclosed that three months ago, Kaduna State bagged the award of the best state in the country on the development of Primary Health care centres,the only state that upgraded 180 of  our 255 PHCs to Level 2 status.’’

 Earlier in his addres, the Chairperson Nigeria Labour Congress Kaduna state, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman, said "the this year May Day celebration with theme; " Reclaiming the Civic space in the Midst of Economic Hardship.

 "Is apt talking the reality, civic space is the environment that enable citizens to participate in politics, economic, social and cultural life of their society freely,with out fear repression and to organise and communicate with each other."

 He however commended governor Uba Sani for his articulated policies of stakeholders engagement; cordial industrial relationship, sponsorship of international training workshop, intervention in industrial dispute resolution, Kaduna state water corporation lingered industrial crises.

Speaking with news men, the Chairman parliamentary staff association Kaduna state, Comrade Abdulrashid Abarshi, said' its gladness and appreciation seeing governor Uba Sani attending this year May day celebration.
