Legacy Newspaper Reporter, Other Journalists Denied Covering NGF Meeting In Kaduna

By Gambo Abubakar Kadina

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Uba Sani, Ibrahim Musa, has barred the Legacy Newspaper reporter in Kaduna state and others journalists from covering  meeting of the 19th Northern Governors' Forum (NGF)

Despite the presence of Zamfara state governor, Dauda Lawal in the meeting which held at Sir Kasim Ibrahim House recently in Kaduna.

Musa allegedly submitted a selective list of journalists allowed to enter the venue, excluding any of northern state owned media organisation and many others.

This move has sparked outrage and disappointment among journalists, who view it as a display of disdain and arrogance.

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna State chapter has expressed anger and called on Governor Uba Sani to address the issue. Some journalists have described Musa as incompetent, envious, and unqualified to handle media relations.

The incident has raised concerns about the governor's commitment to media-friendly policies, despite being perceived as media-friendly in the past. Journalists are now calling for Musa's removal from his position.

The Legacy newspaper is owned by Zamfara state government, and one of the nineteenth northern state.
