Zamfara Health Commissioner Praises Governor's Sensitive Approach To Health Care Development

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, has praised Governor Dauda Lawal for his significant progress in improving the state's healthcare system within his two years in office, highlighting his sensitive approach to healthcare development.
Dr. Maradun’s commendation follows the recent inauguration of the remodelled and fully equipped General Hospital Anka, a project she highlighted as a testament to the governor’s dedication to quality healthcare.
"Governor Lawal's commitment to transforming our healthcare sector with a deep understanding of the needs of our people is evident in the remarkable work done at General Hospital Anka," Dr. Maradun said.
“The complete renovation and equipping of this facility demonstrate his unwavering focus on providing accessible and quality healthcare for all Zamfara residents, keeping their well-being at the forefront."
As reported, Governor Lawal oversaw the renovation of key hospital sections, including the GOPD/Old Admin Block, Male and Female Wards, Pharmacy Block, and the construction of new Accident and Emergency, Laboratory, Eye and Dental Clinics, and Maternity/Old Lab Wards.
The project also included the remodeling of the Antenatal Care (ANC), Theatre Block, X-ray, New Admin Block, and Pediatric Wards, among other facilities.
Dr. Maradun emphasized that the rapid completion of the project, within 12 months, underscores the governor's efficiency and dedication to delivering on his promises with sensitivity to the urgency of healthcare needs.
"The transformation of General Hospital Anka into a modern healthcare facility with state-of-the-art equipment will significantly improve the quality of medical care available to the people of Anka and surrounding areas," she said.
She reiterated Governor Lawal's commitment to prioritizing development issues, including healthcare, education, agriculture, and infrastructure, across the state, always considering the impact on the lives of the citizens.
"The governor's vision is clear; to ensure that every citizen of Zamfara State has access to quality and affordable healthcare, delivered with compassion and understanding," Dr. Maradun stated.
She also echoed the governor’s call for the hospital management to maintain the facility and equipment, and to provide the best possible services to the citizens with sympathy and care.
