ARMY TRAINING INSTITUTIONS TASKS TO CONDUCT ON RELEVANT, ADAPTIVE, MISSION FOCUSES ON COURSES

The Chief of Training (Army), Major General Abubakar Ndalolo, has tasked the Nigerian Army training institutions to focus on the conduct of courses that are relevant, adaptive and mission focused training to fight the contemporary operational challenges.
Maj Gen Ndalolo stated this during the three day weeklong Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA) 2025 Mid-Year Courses at Appraisal Conference for the Nigerian Army Training Institutions and formation training schools, held at Headquarter TRADOC NA in Minna Niger state.
Maj. Gen.Ndalolo made the appealed through the Deputy Chief of Training (Army) courses and examination; Maj Gen Ayoola Aboaba.
Maj Gen Ndalolo, "emphasized on the essence of the conference which is to collectively assess the conduct and impact of courses across the NA training institutions during the first half of the year.
"In order to reflect on the implementation gaps, align with the emerging operational demands and challenges."
He also reassured the Army Headquarters Department of Training remains steadfast in facilitating the conduct of courses that are relevant, adaptive and mission focused training to fight the contemporary operational challenges facing our beloved country Nigeria.
"The ultimate objective of training remains to produce competent, confident and mission ready officers and soldiers for the Nigerian Army."
In his closing address Ndalolo restated commitment of Army Headquarters to the training of personnel of the NA to combat the contemporary security challenges in line with approved 2025 training directives.
He further commended the participants for displaying a high level of professionalism in advancing improved training activities for the NA Training Schools within the past six months.
Earlier in his address, the Commander TRADOC NA, Maj Gen Kevin Aligbe, said "the conference will provide the opportunity to assess progress made and proffer solutions to challenges faced by NA schools and formation training schools during the 6 months training period.
Maj Gen Aligbe said the conference was in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy which is to “To Consolidate the Transformation of the NA Towards Bequeathing a Well-Motivated and Combat-Ready Force that can Effectively Discharge its Constitutional Responsibilities Within a Joint and Multi-Agency Environment”.
Maj Gen Aligbe, who was ably represented by the Chief of Research, Development , Test and Evaluation TRADOC NA; Maj Gen Aminu Chinade, said the appraisal is in relation to the compliance and implementation of courses approved for the training institutions and to outline challenges faced, while proposing mitigation measures where the implementation will require adjustments to comfort with the NA Training directives for the year 2025.
Maj Gen Aligbe reiterated that the NA Training Institutions remains the only result to capacity building and development of the NA personnel towards ensuring high level of professionalism in delivering out constitutional responsibilities.
He also urges the NA training schools to remain resolute in pursuit of excellence. The Commander TRADOC NA also reminded the participants on the forthcoming Combat Arms , Combat Support Arms and Combat Service Arms.
"It's Field Training Exercise (EXERCISE MUGUN BUGU 2025) which will be conducted towards the end of the year. i urged you to be ready for the exercises."
Maj Gen Aligbe however thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede for his strategic leadership, guidance and Support accorded to TRADOC NA in achieving greatness for the NA.
