Bafarawa Foundation, I.E.T Sokoto Organise A 2 Day Capacity Building Training For Students Of Sokoto State

Bafarawa Giving Back Initiative and Sokoto State Islamic Education Trust Fund (I.E.T.), have organized a 2 day capacity building Training for students in the state.

The training was  conducted at the IET office Sokoto between 28 - 29 June 2025  3-4 Muharram 1447 for students sponsored by Bafarawa Giving Back Initiative to various medical courses at Gamji College and Nursing Sciences Sokoto.

The training centred on the following themes: Personal Development Program, Time Management, Financial Literacy, Cooperative Society as well as Waqf Engagement.

Speaking at the closing of the ceremony of the training workshop, the chairman and secretary Bafarawa Giving Back Initiative Malam Muhammmad Lawal Maidoki Sadaukin Sakkwato noted that IET conceived idea with the sole object  to equip the students participants on the above mentioned so as to make them productive members of the ummah who would contribute immensely towards the advancement of their respective communities, state and nation at large.

Maidoki uses  the medium and shed more on multi sectoral interventions initiated by Giving Back Initiative to cutting across education, food distribution, health, empowerment as well as social investment all aimed at advancing Sokoto State in all facets of human development.

He also extended appreciations to Alh Attahiru Bafarawa, Sokoto State Government, Sultanate Council, and Islamic Education Trust Fund (IET) Sokoto.

Earlier, the secretary of the Giving Back Initiative Hon. Alh Sagir Attahiru Bafarawa expressed optimism that  upon completion of their studies, the sponsored students would complement the provision of quality healthcare services in the state.

Sagir while commending IET Sokoto for the gesture called on the trainees to put into practice what they have gained from the training workshop and be participating actively in both da'awah and humanitarian activities in that regard.

Some of the participating students thanked the organisers for the gesture as it would go along way for them to support their respective communities in no small measures.

The closing ceremony had in attendance Hon. Dr Balarabe Shehu Kakale as well as representatives of religious organisations in the state.

Certificates were later presented to the participants numbering about one hundred.
