CHST Tsafe Governing Council Commends Gov, Dauda Lawal For Enhancing Health Care Delivery

 The governing council of Zamfara state College Of Health Sciences and Technology Tsafe under it's Chairman Professor Jafaru Makau Kaura, has expressed gratitude to the Zamfara State Government for its ongoing commitment to enhancing health care delivery services in the state. He particularly praised the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal for their focus on the college.

Professor Kaura made these remarks during a recent inspection of the college's facilities and the renovation work undertaken by the state government, following a meeting with the college management. 

"On behalf of the school, staff, and students, I would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the state government, under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Dauda Lawal, for their concern regarding our college and for initiating the rehabilitation efforts that have significantly improved our facilities.

"We are thankful to the governor and hope that the government will continue to address the needs of our college," He noted.

Professor Kaura also appealed to the state government for the construction of additional hostel facilities on the college grounds to better accommodate students. He acknowledged the efforts of the member representing Gusau/Tsafe federal constituency for establishing a standard Computer Based Training (CBT) center for the college. 

"He has undertaken commendable work, and we hope that it will be completed in a timely manner so that the facility can be utilized for the next CBT session," he added.

During the meeting, Alhaji Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa, the Provost of the College, discussed various pressing issues concerning the institution's development.

 "We currently offer 16 courses at the college, of which we have obtained accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for 10 courses, including three full accreditations and five interim accreditations, we are now seeking the governor’s approval on how to proceed with the remaining six courses," he said.

 The Provost also mentioned the college management's request for amendments to the gazette, highlighting numerous omissions that need to be addressed.

The college looks forward to continued support from both the state government and stakeholders in enhancing the quality of education and health care delivery in Zamfara State.
