KDSG Vows To Eradicate Poverty In The State Through Social Protection Programs

 The Kaduna state governor Senator Uba Sani has reiterated his government commitment to implement effectiveness the social protection policy and programmes the would improve the live of people especially the most vulnerable in the state.

 Governor Sani made the pledge through the state deputy governor Dr Hadiza Balarabe Sabuwa, during the opening ceremony of  two day stakeholders orientation programme on social protection, organised by ministry for humanitarian affairs.

The two day stakeholders orientation programme with theme "Enhancing Social Protection Systems Through Multi-Sectoral Approach" held at Asaa Pyramid hotel in Kaduna.

 According to the governor, the importance of social protection programme can't be over emphasized especially in a state like ours where poverty, inequality and social issues hindering.

 Stressing that it's an essential tools in social promotion reducing poverty levels, addressing inequality and provide a safety for vulnerable individuals and households, ensuring access to basic needs and goods health care and the social services.

"Social protection is not abstracts to for state government "its moral obligations, political responsibility for effective covernance for the services." 

 He however commended the office of special adviser on social investment programmes for conveyed this great importance stakeholders summit.

 In her address, the special adviser social investment programmes, Bridget Sulaiman, explained that "the essences of organising orientation is to aligning and understanding together in order to build a robust on social protection in Kaduna state.

 She however commended the governor for allocating over Sixty One billion to support social protection programmes across some ministries, ministry for agriculture had benefited the high amount allocated in carried out various initiatives mainly on social protection.

 She further hails the partners for their efforts toward ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the orientation, the partners include; UNICEF, ministries of Agriculture, humanitarian affairs, budget and planning, education among others.

 The permanent secretary ministry of health  Dr Aisha Abubakar Saddiq representing the commissioner for the ministry, said" the stakeholders orientation is importance in bridging the gaps toward aligning and builds with resilience in the system for effective implementation of policies and strategies toward achieving the desire objectives of the programmes.

She however explained that social protection is the rights for every citizens, also responsibility for every citizens, even in Islam it enshrined for wealthiest to paid zakkat, to be distribute poor and vulnerable peoples.

She also calls on the society to embraced health insurance's system, it's a system that's easy for every citizens regard ness of their financial standard,its also easier to access to health care with out any delay to someone's who's sick.

 Also speaking with newsmen, the founder also Chairman Zakkat and Waqf Foundation Kaduna, Abdullahi Salisu Halidu, explained that, "the foundation have achieved by slaughtered Fifty cows and distributed during the Sallah celebration.

 He also noted that  "Eighty Million naira distributed to over Five hundred beneficiaries gathered from zakkat

 All the programmes conducted previously, is with partnership with the office of special adviser on social investment, social register and other peoples and collaborated organisations.

 " I call on the wealthiest people and other stakeholders to partner with the foundation in providing a better humanitarian affairs towards reducing poverty, inequality to poor and vulnerables peoples in the society."
