Rotary Club Renovates Primary School Library In Kaduna

The district governor of Rotary Club Nigeria,  Dr Princes Joy Nky Okoro has commissioned the renovations of Kawo Model Nursery /primary Schools and the creation of schools reading club.

 Speaking after commissioning of the project held at school premises in Kawo, Kaduna North local government area of Kaduna state. Princes Joy Okoro has appealed to government to provide solar power at the new renovated library for smooth and better reading environment.

 She also commended the Kaduna chapter of rotary club for projects carried out that would enhance learning activities in schools.

 The President Rotary Club of Nigeria Kaduna state chapter, Ahmad Tijjani, said "We decided to carry out the projects after consultation with schools authority, found that it needs a lot of intervention.

  "We decided to renovate the school library considering it's importance, and we provided one thousand reading books, we also created reading club in order to inculcate the reading culture habit in the schools".

 The President also noted that, in this  month of September as we marked to executes programmes on basic education and literacy, we will organise a Quiz competition for fifteen schools invited to contest in order to encourage the students educationally, we will also renovate  the school's toilets based on water and sanitation projects.

 He also encouraged the governments to prioritise the basic education as it's most important in terms of development, stressing that without education nothing can developed.

 The District head of Kawo, Alhaji Jibril Mohammed Magaji represented by Marafan Kawo Ibrahim Ya'u Na' aye, expressed his gladness and hails to rotary club Kaduna state.

 " I'm happy to have rotary club in our domain and carried this gigantic projects which would uplift the education to the community.

 Also speaking, the head teacher of the school, Mr Falalu Sa 'ad, represented by his administration assistant, Lubabatu Mohammad, thanked the rotary club Kaduna for projects carried out in the school.

"We assure the rotary club that we are going to take care of library so as to be useful for years.
